Dear Nokie and Judy,
What a great CD! 'Hitchin' A Ride' is so uplifting that it will brighten any day, and inspire guitarists everywhere. I have so many 'favorites' on this CD.... but the one that stops me in my tracks is 'Baby's Coming Home' ..... the finest rendition I've ever heard. Chet and Jerry would be so proud. Keep up the great work!

I'm really knocked out by Hitchin' A Ride.
I enjoy pacy numbers & what speed.
Haven't played anything else but this CD today.
I met Nokie before his concert in the U.K. about five years ago & afterwards at breakfast where we both stayed.
What a gentleman & superb guitar player, I & my friends could hardly believe his speed on the guitar. We all sat in awe.
Best regards,

Review of Nokie Classics CD:
I really enjoy listening to this CD. It has so many great songs on it and as usual Nokie adds his "flair" to each one of them. The fuzz sound is perfect in all of the songs, especially "Mustang Sally"; "Black Magic Woman"; "Lay Down Sally"; and "Pretty Woman" to name a few. Nokie also covers two of my 3 most favorite Roy Orbison Songs (Cryin' and Pretty Woman, the only one missing of my favorites is "In Dreams"). If you love to hear Nokie fingerpicking (and who doesn't) this is a great addition to your collection. As always his magic fingers seem to fly over the strings! Also on Black Magic Woman, Nokie uses a great sounding echo that adds depth, and a spark to that particular song. Nokie has a magical way of turning a vocal song into an instrumental so much so that you can almost "hear" the words that were originally being sung, just listen to "Daniel", or "Lyin' Eyes" or any of the songs for that matter. The addition of the saxophone's add such a richness to the songs, as does the piano. Nokie has done a superb job on the arrangement's for the songs on this CD and the addition of the talented array of musicians compliment Nokie's style completely! As always Nokie's HitchHiker Guitars sound so unique, rich and beautiful; especially in the capable hands of Nokie. This is a "must have" CD for every Nokie fan, and if your new to Nokie's playing, this is also the CD for you. Nokie scores a big hit for this CD and 5 Stars in my book. Keep up the beautiful music Nokie, you are a master! Thanks for all of the great yea rs of music.

Review of Hitchin' A Ride CD:
What a great CD to listen to! Nokie has brought us all back to his roots in country music, but with an original sounding Nokie "twist"! And I'm a convert. If you like to hear Nokie's fingers flying over the strings fingerpicking like the master he is, this is your CD! Personally I love to l isten to Nokie's rendition of songs in his fingerpicking style, it adds such depth, musicality and richness to every song he plays. Nokie has new arrangements to many songs he has recorded before, but as always they sound just a little bit different and fresh! As I listen, it's hard to choose my favorites, but for me "Alabama Jubilee", "Hitchin' A Ride" (brand new song by Nokie), "Miss Judy" (great new arrangement), "Cherokee Smoke" another Nokie original with a new arrangement), "Baby's Coming Home" and "I Got a Woman" are at the top, just to list a few. But believe me the greatness just doesn't stop there! This CD truly stands out for Nokie's beautiful fingerpicking style of playing the guitar. Each song is filled with beautiful and fast riffs, with Nokie's fingers flying with ease over the strings. In fact, Nokie's playing always sounds so flowing and effortless, no more so than on this CD! He again surrounds himself with a talented group of musicians (love the fiddle and harmonica), and has two special guest artists Ricky Skaggs and Brent Mason. Nokie's HitchHiker Guitar stands out with its rich and beautiful sound (in the capable hands of the master, Nokie himself!). As a side comment, it is also a great note that in 2009 Nokie was presented with the coveted "Certified Legend Award 2009" from Guitar Player Magazine. If you wa nt to know why, get one of these CD's (or any of Nokie's CD's for that matter) and you'll quickly see why! Another side note Nokie and the Ventures were also inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" in 2008, an accomplishment they well deserve! This CD is a must have for every Nokie fan! No one does it like Nokie and he has done it again with this latest release. Don't wait, get one now! It is quickly becoming one of my favorite CD's. Nokie has done it again; and I personally want to thank Nokie for all of the beautiful music he plays, and continues to play year after year…there is no one better!
